Intervention
1. Help the student develop webs with main idea and supporting details
2. Provide the student with lists of words that can connect sentences to each other (and, therefore, although)
3. Ensure that the student knows that paragraphs need an interoduction, a middle, and a conclusion
4 Teach the student how to outline main ideas and supporting details
5. Have the student write step by step instructions to gain practice in sequencing
6. Cut the paragraphs from an excerpt and have the student put thme in the correct order
7. On a piect of paper, write five or six sentences from something that the student has read and have the student put them in the correct order.
