ACCESS for ELL's Test
|
Stands for Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Language Learners. It is a large-scale test that determines the English language proficiency of a student. There are four areas of the test: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. It is given in grade level chunks from K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

Wait Time
|
Pausing after giving a direction or asking a question for a certain amount of time. This extra time allows the students to process the question. A good amount is usually seven seconds.
